Entry 1: Google Search Ad

When I found this ad I immediately liked it because I felt it really got Google’s message across without an extravagant production. This ad is simple, and tells a story simply from what the man is typing into the Google search engine. This ad conveys how the Google search engine can be used as a tool for helping plan out a life and a resource that may change the way a situation turns out, based on what the first websites that appear.  For instance, had a different study abroad program come up on the first search that better suited the man typing, he may never have met his future wife. My criticism of this ad is that it requires you to watch the ad all the way through to receive the message clearly. This ad also may not just catch your attention if you are just passing through the room. Some may say that the simplicity of this ad makes it not as successful, but I feel it does succeed because after you watch it you know what the ad was for.
