In the VW passat commercial , the main selling point of this ad is that it allows yuo to start your car from the outside. The commercial shows a little boy dressed up in a Darth Vader costume and trying to make different things move without touchign them. The boy runs outside, holds his hands out in front of the car, and his dad pusehd s the start button. The boy is amazed. This commerical uses humor and sentimentality to show an interesting new feature on the passat. By using such a common and familiar character as Darth Vader, along with the Star Wars theme music, VW catches viewers attention and makes them keep watching.
